FAT12 partition on HCSD card inaccessible on computer

I recently bought an HCSD card and was formating a smaller FAT12 partition using the CHDK...I read about doing this in one of your other posts.  However, when I remove the newly formatted card from the camera and insert it in the card reader (attached to my computer), the computer does not recognize the new FAT12 partition.  I receive this error message, "The disk in drive G is not formated.  Would you like to format now?".  The post I read does not seem to have had this happen.  I know this is more of a Windows problem...just thought someone else might have experienced this while trying to make the CHDK bootable on a HCSD card.
