I have some scripts, downloaded and written, ending in .bas or .lua and i have put them in the root of CHDk/Scripts and have also tried them in CHDK/ Examples but the result is the same, no show when i return the card to my G9. They all show when i put the card back in the reader but no matter where i put them, they dont show in the camera. I have written the names lowercase, short and all one word, checked in Vista as to what the file extension was  and both returned correct. On the idea it is something simple (ive had it before and recovered) i have re-formatted and even tried putting the scripts in CHDK/SCRIPTS straight in the rar file before expanding to card and still no show.Obviously it isnt something simple anymore ;(

make sure the names are 8.3

If you are using a multi-partition card, make sure the scripts are on the large partition, not the small CHDK boot partition.

Yes that was one of my first things to check the names for 8.3 compatability and all where correct. I'm not sure how that works if i put the scripts on the big partition, by default "load scripts" takes me into chdk/scripts, the big partition is not on show

You have to store the files on the second partition with a card reader, then they're available from the CHDK script menu.

With a partitioned SD card, CHDK starts from the small, first partition;
then CHDK swaps over to the second, large one. This partition is the one CHDK
is running from, all images & videos will also be stored there.
You can't select another partition in the camera.

Spot on FE50, i had forgotten the partition swap with sdm, your third link sorted it, thanks. Off down the field after a cup of tea to test, we have 21mph winds for a change
