Hi, I'm new here. I would like to modify the 7D firmware.
I don't really understand this conversation...
Is this about the two tables which XOR the firmware file payload?
Something like dissect_fw do?
Are these tables different in different cameras or firmwares?
I thought these are constant values.
I've just made a simple tool to 'unpack' the newest DSLR's .fir files and I've burned in this two table to my app.

The program developed based on the information about firmware structure discovered by arm.indy.

Pelican, Thanks for sharing your app, I wasn't able to download is firload.exe and firtool.exe the same.
