I think it would be very helpful to assign a camera button as the help button that you can press on any selected CHDK menu item.  This button would pop up a small window with a brief description of what the CHDK menu item does and the default value, this could be copy and pasted from the CHDK user manual.  Great for when you are away from your computer and can not load up the CHDK manual.

Member - dlw put together a fairly useful collection of .txt files with what you describe, used with the
                  Text File Reader
