Not necessarily. USB remote for example has been added to trunk on a per-platform basis. I think three supported cameras is a good base to start with.
But more cameras should be added easy enough if people post their misc. values.

The snag with adding the current code to the trunk is that it is based on jeff666's quick hack, rather than the syntax that emerged during the discussion that followed ("mode <dialname> <modeno>").  That said, I'm sure there are quite a few people who'd appreciate the current sytax now rather than wait a long time for a 'proper' solution.

Thanks, zeno.  I will test it out tomorrow when I get home from work.

Zeno,

That seems to work great, so far!

I was able to run the 5 second movie script.  After dinner, I'm going to try my multi-movie/pic script and see how it goes.

Thanks so much for making this work.  I really hope that this will make it into the allbest builds!

Zeno,

I tried your latest firmware rev but it's still unable to detect the width of the pulse on the USB cable.  get_usb_power is still returning '1'.

:(

Chris - I'll take another look. I presume you have enabled USB remote in the CHDK scripting menu?

Chris - I've been through the process of recreating the BIN file (starting with the original source, applying my changes and recompiling). The result is different, so I hope it will work. Download it at http://www.zenonic.demon.co.uk/zips/ab50dm-a720-v100c.zip

Hmmm...

For some reason, I'm still having the problem with the shutter not releasing.  When I run the script below, the camera takes the picture but the shutter button does not release.  To see what I'm talking about, take the stock firmware and press the shutter button and just hold it down.  The camera takes a picture but does not return to the live preview mode.

Sample script:

Code: [Select]
@title TestShutter
:loop
        press "shoot_full"
        sleep 300
        release "shoot_full"
        sleep 3000
goto "loop"
end
