SDM 1.83 adds support for 83 firmware versions and 49 cameras:

The G11 camera (firmware 100f,100h,100j and 100k) is now supported (initial CHDK port by ERR99).

The commands 'use_af_led', 'use_print_led' and 'tune_unit_pulse' are provided to support communication with external device (using the 'send_data' command).

A commercial device has been made available that uses these SDM script commands to control two servos that pan and tilt a camera platform to any position.
This could be used with a single or paired cameras.

See http://www.gentles.ltd.uk/clickpan and http://www.zenoshrdlu.com/clickpansdm.

(enable Javascript to view the two YouTube videos showing a camera rig in action).

The servos could also control a Gigapan-type rig or the pan-and-tilt controls of a camera platform used for kite aerial photography (KAP).

Others features described and downloads at:

Glad to see you added so much support.  I've tried many different versions (not all, mind you) for my A2000 IS, but with no success so far.  Any idea if a port for it is in the works?

Hey,

any chance for the ixus 200/ 210 to to added to the regular CHDK builds?

Would make it more compatible with scripts?

Rename to .BIN.

Let me know if there are any problems.

I removed CHDK's diskboot.bin and copied over the SDM diskboot.bin (176KB). I started my camera and updated the firmware (I don't use autoboot), and it seems the same to me.  Same splash screen, same menu items. What step am I missing?

Also with SDM I am interested in using a microcontroller to trigger the shutter to capture a single event. What kind of delays can I expect between the USB signal and the shutter opening? I assume SDM works better than CHDK in this area?

thanks, Andy

SDM does not support manual loading with "Firmware Update" - you've loaded your 'old' CHDK version (file ps.fi2) instead ;)

--> use the autostart loading mechanism, not the "Firmware Update" menu item !

Bummer. I have an 8Gb card and didn't want to start messing with partitions. :(

Where can I find info on CHDK's "Enable Synchable Remote" option?

Many SDM users have dual-partitions.

It is very easy using sdminst.exe provided with Common_files.zip.

Why not just try it ?
