Emm.. What the choice should I to pick up?  8)
The "I used the code off of GrAnd's branch but my edits are causing errors!" does not apply for me, right? :)
But in the same time the "GPS feature" is still not implemented.  ::)

ok, I think there should be some coding vote before dumping, because I've compiled my own small edits to some of the branches, but never dumped my a710.

Why shall I have? It had been sucessfully dumped when I discovered the chdk-semi-wiki on sketchpad more or less (less) a year ago

So put one step like
Quote
"I compile the sources but I don't understand what I do when I call kbd_sched_......("error")."

Hi all !

i just voted "I used the code off of GrAnd's branch ..."

--- motivation --
Have been compiling unmodified trunk for about a month now (Windows).
Yesterday discovered phyrephox/ewavr's gui_bat.c mod, played a bit with it,
and compiled my first 'custom' build (off trunk 290, IIRC), which worked but
killed (blanked) my splash screen  :haha
-- end motivation --

BTW - are the following compilation warnings normal under Windows:
*** Warning:  Clock skew detected.  Your build may be incomplete.
*** Warning: File `resetcode/main.bin' has modification time in the future (1202462934 > 1202462932)

Nice day to you all, and keep up the good work !

wim

BTW2 - might also be fun to do a poll on ratio (time spent on CHDK code) vs. (time spent on photography)

No they're not, I installed the compiler in a seperate VirtualMachine, because I had other gcc-versions installed.
But if you haven't you can simply use the instructions + environment from the wiki and it should compile with:
***Firmware creation successfully ***
