On the wiki page, it says porting is "complete" except for a few features.  The list does not include optical zoom with video.

However, when I search the forum, I see references to zooming not working but the posts are quite old.

I just got an A720 to evaluate and zooming does not work. 

Is there a CHDK build where optical zoom works with the A720?

Hi enricong,

You shouldn't need any particular CHDK build, I just tried an older build -766-, optical (and digital) zooming in video works ok
with my A720. There's a slight possibility the confg file is corrupted, you could try resetting to defaults in Misc stuff, and then
reselect the video options to try again.
