Hello, this is my first post here.

I want to contribute to CHDK, but I need the keys needed to encode a .FI2 file so that I can install CHDK that I compile myself. I have an A720IS and a dump for the 1.00c firmware.

I've read the thread here: " http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,2995.0.html " but I'm having trouble understanding it.

If someone could point out the start addresses or file offsets for the "key" and "iv" in the a720 firmware, it would be really helpful.

Andreas - the A720 1.00c is already a supported camera. The necessary source files to build it are all available at https://tools.assembla.com/chdk/browser/trunk - you don't need any keys (just a working gcc).

It's a dryos cam, so you need the D3 keys if you want to build an FI2. If you only want diskboot, then you don't need them.
