Thanks so much for this port. I downloaded and successfully installed Alpha 100c.
I seem to have problem - manual settings in CHDK don't work in Drive Mode (fast continuous shooting).

ive formated my sd card 1 gb to fat 16 and used cardtricks to make it bootable and unzipped "CHDK-ixus130_sd1400-100a-2010-12-23" and locked the card but when i press on/off button the camera wont start. i need to remove and insert the battery to boot the camera up again without the card. what am i doing wrong?

I can confirm the 2 partition problem. The second partition isnt found, CHDK has to reside in the first partition. Using CHDK to switch partitions or to create 2 partitions also doesnt work. I tried the firmware update method of loading CHDK, this only works if the second partition is FAT16, not FAT32. So we are limited to 4 GB at the moment. This testing was mostly done on a mac, using SDMinst and DiskUtility, but I did take care to remove extended attributes. The results were also confirmed on a PC (under XP).

I was hoping to use CHDK to acquire longer video than the 10 min standard limit. That isnt possible at the moment. Does anyone know if it is likely to be possible to remove this limit?

Thanks for the reports, I've added them to the issue tracker so they don't get forgotten, I'll try to look into them when I get more time.

@Edgel: I think I understand why the MD is slow, but haven't had time to look into it properly yet (basically the vid_get_viewport_live_fb function is not yet implemented, so it falls back to a slower version).

@chajl: Are you sure that your camera has the 100a firmware? Otherwise I'm not sure what could be wrong.

@ricorick: If it works on other recent cameras, then most likely it can be made to work on this one, it's just a matter of finding the time to look into it...

Zoombrowser doesn't support CHDK RAW's.
Use the CHDK DNG RAW format, this is supported in many imaging apps & viewers:

Transfer the files with a card reader.

Sounds like you used the wrong version for your canon firmware.
Don't forget what the H stands for.
