If you download one of these, please provide some feedback here in the forum !!
I don't own the camera and have not been able to test the changes.  Even just a one line posting here saying "It works on my camera"  would be very helpful. If we get postive reports - the camera can be added to the official autobuild server so that you can get regular updates of the latest features !
.

I downloaded and tried the version c firmware posted above... When I tried to load the firmware on my SD 1400IS, I would get two or three lines of distorted pixels across my screen, in shooting and playback mode...

I could only get the firmware to load when I did the two separate partition method...

Thanks!

Thank you for the feedback !!

Does this mean that everything seems to work properly when you use dual partitions ?  Or do you have distorted pixels no matter what you do ?

I assume you are using an SD card larger than 4G then ?

Hallo waterwingz,
thank you for all your work.
If anyone is still tracking this thread,  I've converted the source to use the latest dev trunk and submitted for eventual inclusion in the svn & autobuild.
...
I don't own the camera and have not been able to test the changes.  Even just a one line posting here saying "It works on my camera"
I don't own this, too. But my son frequently uses CHDK on this camera..
I saw that something was checked in and compiled for the 100c version with CHDK Shell.
I get pixels on startup where normally the Logo has to be.
When I press menu the result is shown in the attachment.
Remote access by ptpCamGui  is already possible.

An old beta version in this forum already worked in the past.

thanks

Thanks for the screenshot. It confirms bitmap dimensions #defines/functions need to be updated for trunk.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

The version on the forum (and code in github) has not kept up with all the coding changes (another reason people should get their ports into the svn as early as possble).    So I made the changes needed but missed the changes in the video buffer stuff.   I'll fix it and repost - stay tuned ?

Thanks for uploading the pic exposeIT... The image you posted looks like what I am seeing on my 1400IS... (I didn't have a way of uploading a screenshot, since it is my PAS camera...)

If I can try other methods, or other builds anyone has, let me know!

Thanks!

Will do.  Had exactly the same issue updating the IXUS115 a couple of weeks ago.  Easy to fix.

Okay .. two version of CHDK for the IXUS130 - f/w 1.00c.

With luck,  one of these two will get the LCD image correctly.  Please try one.  It it works, report here and we are done.  If not, try the other and report results here.

Alright! The 960 bitmap width worked for my SD 1400IS... original firmware version C...

There's a few little glitches when scrolling through menus... Also, it jumps back into the main shooting by itself window if you wait too long between menu changes... All features seem to be working (so-far)...

I'll continue to play around with it until I find something up with the CHDK, or you upload a newer revision, whoever gets there first...

Thanks!
