how to cleanup log in G11

Hi Guys,

I tried to load CHDK manually and got E31 error (now I know that manual loading is not supported yet for G11).
Now I have the error in the internal log and SUBCPU SIO FAILED message is displayed in info screens.
Is it possible to clean up the log via some CHDK script ?
What does SUBCPU SIO FAILED mean ? Is this the text for E31 error code ?

Thanks in advance,
Paul

The log is stored in the cameras internal flash ROM. For safety reasons, CHDK avoids writing to this.  While you could probably clear the log with eventprocs, it would be a risky step to take just to get rid of a harmless message.

The message goes with the E number.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

I was fearless and tried what happend if i call the "EraseLogSector" function on my G11.
Result: (As hopped/expected) The romlog was cleared. So if you or canon ready out the romlog,
only a file with the content: "No romlog saved" or so is written to SD-Card. But calling EraseLogSector
does not get rid of the E31/SubCpu error message, it will still be there on the ver.req screen. It looks like this information is stored somewhere else in the camera flash.

Thank you for answers,

I hope this error in the log will not void my warranty (I hope the warranty will not be required  :)).

Regards, Paul.
