Hi All,

can somebody please post a working link for downloading the latest version 1.9?
The link "www.4shared.com/file/OCeTT8Tb/CHDK1211-sx210is-ASM1989-RCv19.html" seems to work not any longer.

BTW: Does somebody know why there is no further progress for SX210IS?

Apparently there is no firmware dump for this camera in the CHDK repository  ( http://www.box.com/chdk ).

Does anyone have a version they can post ?  Or can one of the sx210 owners dump a new one and post ?

Edit : Got one - thanks philmoz :  http://www.box.com/s/ifbylifrafc4iamrkixb

Here's the latest build of sx210is source code against stable and development trunks.  It would be good if sx210is camera owners would test these and confirm that they work so that this camera can getting added to the svn site and autobuild server for automatic updates.

LINK>sx210is 1.00c stable version

Hi waterwingz,

I've tested both builds.

The stable one works. :)
I have tried shooting in DNG and it works OK. (This is the main feature I use CHDK for, so I'm happy with this build).
I've tried zebra mode, and it displays nothing (as oposed of displaying it displaced in previous betas). But it could be that I'm missing some configuration.
Menus continue to be a bit unstable when in shooting mode. They work perfect in review mode.

The unstable build doesn't work at all. It apparently boots, but no splash screen is shown, and you only see garbage on screen for the CHDK OSD text, as it was sending an incorrect screen size or something.

Please, tell me if you need any specific test.

Thanks.

PS: I was first a bit confused, as I was using the firmware update method to test previous builds. For other testers, note there is no PS.FI2 file for these builds, so you'll need to make the card bootable.

reyalp suggested that it should use propset3 - I compiled it with propset4.  I'll do a version with 3 and we can try that ?

Normal for all CHDK cameras.

Interesting - its the same code as the stable version, just built against a different core tree.   Did you upzip all the files and directories onto your SD card  (not just the diskboot.bin file) ?

This is correct.  Its a long story why.

I updated the stable build to use propset3 rather than 4.  Lets see if that works better ?   Same link : http://www.box.com/s/r2s9s06qa94ehbbhf2f4

In the updated version zebra works exactly as in previous betas from this thread. That is, it's swown, but not in the correct location. For example, if I point to a single light bulb, centered in the screen, zebra is displayed four times in an horizontal row (two complete at each side of the bulb, slightly moved down, and two halved at the left and right screen borders.

I've tried the unstable build again, just to be sure. Same result as before. Menu is displayed twice vertically, but you can't read anything, only garbage.

Okay - so at least we have a valid capture of the latest code base.  Fixing things like zebra takes a bit of time to do some digging and is a lot easier if you have the camera in hand during testing.   Unfortunately, I don't have either the time or the camera available.    Hopefully someone who owns this camera will pick up the project and keep it going - seems to be in pretty good shape at this point.

Yes, it's pretty good at its current state. Zebra is not essential, I only tested it because I knew it wasn't working perfect before.
Thanks for your time.
