Yep, down-up once for autofocus and wait mode, then hit the stopwatch and and the second down-up simultaneously. 10.2 seconds later, it takes the picture.

And waterwingz, just to be clear, your F testing is separate from the earlier 100f-1.0.0_TEST from philmoz that is working for me, right? Just don't want you to devote unnecessary time unless you're just trying to figure something out. I'm happy to test whatever - this is all pretty complex with two camera models and four different firmware versions, but I do have my system down now.

I'll merge it with philmoz at some point. The delay problem on the A490 has been reported before. I've found the cause now although I need to analyze why it does not work. Try this for me ?
