Well, I know exactly what's happening now - just not how to fix it.  The A490 uses an somewhat unconventional method to get the physw_status[] in my_kbd_read_keys().  But it does not use that method in wait_until_remote_button_is_released().  I tried to copy the code from my_kbd_read_keys() into wait_until_remote_button_is_released() but your tests show that it did not work.

Must be missing something that I'm sure will be obvious in the morning.   I'll post another update tomorrow - this is very fixable.

Right on.  For now I'll use philmoz's version and be thrilled that all 24 of my cameras seem to be working.

I'll check back tomorrow and test anything new.

Thanks again!

Oh oh.  Do you mean that philmoz's versions have no issue with the timeouts ?   I must have missed that although I think you tried to tell me.

Oh!  Yes, that is what I meant - his version is working with no lag.  My first big report included that - so sorry if you've been spending time unnecessarily!

Update for A490 1.00e test version attached.

Sweeeet!  E now works.  Ten of my 24 cameras just got fixed!!

- Jance

This E version works for me but it takes two pictures with one trigger:
1. USB power ON, OFF -> Auto focus
2. USB power ON, OFF again -> Takes a picture
3. Green LED on back blinks for 10 seconds (counted on a computer clock) and then takes another picture.

Am I doing something wrong? I have no remote script loaded.

So what do you plan to do with some many cameras ?

Probably need a bit more information here.  What are you using to trigger the USB port ?  What settings are you using for each of the option on the Remote parameters menu ?
