has anyone tried the releases for g11 and s90?

im about to get one of those cameras instead of my lx3 only because of CHDK.. just wondering what I can get out of them...

is the same softwarefeatures I can get out of both cameras? I assume auto bracketing can be set to a lot of pictures spanding over a lot of ev steps? thats one main priority...

the next I need is lower iso and short and long shutterspeed... how low iso can I get out of these cameras and how fast and slow a shutterspeed can I get?

The S90 is in beta state atm, but - yes.

Bracketing, either scriptless or also with a script, is a basic CHDK feature, available on all supported cameras.

Typically the lowest ISO available by the Canon firmware is the lower limit, at least on the newer Powershots.
Shutter speed: up to 64 second on all cameras, up to ~2000 on those models; see also http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CameraFeatures

ok.. it seems like the g9 can go down to iso 10 with CHDK?

what about the fastest shutterspeed then?

and have anyone tried it on g11 or s90?

What makes you think that ? The fact that CHDK allows you to override down to 10 doesn't mean that the camera actually does it.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

AFAIK, everyone who has done rigorous testing has come to the conclusion that ISO overrides don't go noticeably lower than the Canon setting.

I don't know what to download or where do I download it from. I just couldn't find where it is, or in what format, or anything, I just get to the two FTPs that are posted as beta release, do I have to download all files? Because they're too many! Please help.

Which camera are you trying to download files for ?

What is the link ?

What do you mean  .. 'there are too many'  files ?

I tried and it works fine (and in the porting thread you will find lots of answers). At least the speed override is working, I can now get flash sync up to1/5.000s or more (I could not find the actual hardware limit)
