Going to be sending my Camera to Canon to remove bad pixels

I have 2 always red pixels in the same spot no matter the type of shot I take :(.

I have a warranty on my camera and have had the camera now for about 2 months.

First, I want to ensure, if I remove my CHDK memory card and put in a non-CHDK card, is there anyway to tell that my Camera once was in CHDK mode?

Secondly, rather than paying for shipping and being without a camera for xx days. I was thinking of purchasing a new camera and swapping them and then returning the new camera for full refund....can they tell how many shots or how old my camera is if I do this?

Also, has anyone sent a Camera to Canon for bad pixel repair? How long does it take.

I really dont know about using the badpixel.lau script as it just seems so complicated and it only works in CHDK mode, which I am not always in.

Thanks.

Here are the 2 red pixels?

NOTE: I get this no matter the exposure or shutter speed.  I see these at 1/30 with a flash!

Can you see them in this shot?

Here they are

It's possible. If the camera has ever crashed, there will be a crash log stored in the camera ROM. There may be other traces.

Yes.
Don't forget what the H stands for.
