all,

just bought a 2nd A630 (long story).

when i put the card in, locked, the camera won't start. doesn't even get a chance to load CHDK.

i have another A630 that runs CHDK just fine.

any thoughts?

Does manual loading work ?
(CHDK full package unzipped to the card, camera started in playback mode, CHDK loaded with "Firmware UPdate" from the Canon menu)

If not: check your firmware version --> http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ#Q._How_can_I_get_the_original_firmware_version_number_of_my_camera.3F

To start CHDK automatically (autostart), the SD card must be CHDK-bootable & locked; on Windows use CardTricks to prepare the card.
