I haven't found anything on the boards about this camera. Is anybody working on CHDK for this model and/or is there a release of CHDK that might be easy to mod for the A3100?

No, it doesn't work that way. Each camera requires a new port.

You can support a port. There is still no firmware dump done for the A3100IS.
So maybe  you could try if you are able to get a dump with Cardtricks (maybe with one of my modified udumper versions here: http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,4647.msg46175.html#msg46175 and here: http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,4804.msg49601.html#msg49601 ) .

@ERR99 thanks for the help! I will def help support the port of this camera ~ I'm not a developer but will do whatever I can ~ including attempting the firmware dump.

@reyalp thanks for the heads up ~ I did read the FAQ ~ I was just asking and (again) am not a developer ~ just wanted to help if I can as I have had great success with another A series camera that has CHDK and wanted to know if there was anything I could do.

I will post the dump if / when I can figure how to do it.

(And help any developer in any way I can to port this camera.)
