Software set up

Good Afternoon.
As a new member and canon A470 owner I wish to simply use my A470 for kite aerial photography setting the A470 for adjustable interval photographs.  I have seen this done, I have read the article of how to do this in French (not easy) - I am a Brit living in France, I have managed to find my camera's firmware 1.02c, I have managed to load a ver.reg file onto my 4GB card (but not a vers.reg file).
Now I am completely stumped!  Can anyone please suggest a simple (for a simple person) means of loading the software I need onto my various memory cards?
Any help or suggestions would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance.  Tony Hillyard, Normandie, France

Tony - you'll find quite a bit of helpful information over on the KAP forum at http://ostro.ced.berkeley.edu/~crisr/discuss/

As reyalp says, you need to download the A470 102c build from the mighty-hoernsche.de website.

Alternatively you could try the SDM build for the A470 available at http://stereo.jpn.org/eng/sdm/download.htm. The "common files.zip" there contains an installer for SDM as well as sample scripts (including intervalometers for KAP).

Thank you both very much.... I will attempt to understand how this works.  All the best from an overcast Normandie, France. - Tony

A big thanks to all concerned, especially Dave Mitchell.  I have now managed to load my memory cards and can join the happy band of KAPers.

All the best - Tony Hillyard
