is it possible, when running script, or otherwise, remove default OSD components I don't need ?
- Please see attached picture, I'd like to remove the crossed-out items.
Also - it would be nice if it's possible to make the script status could stick to one line.

Welcome Andre !

You do not say what your camera is.

On my A620, I press the DISPLAY button to turn-off the Canon icons.

Ah, sorry, .. It's a IXY900IS - running the "ixus850_sd800-100e-0.9.9-890-full"

Pressing "display" turns off display, then it can be pressed and less information appears.
with CHDK , "display" switched off display, and it can wake up only by selecting another photo mode (rotary selector) - but the preview won't come back, and camera cannot even leave the ALT mode, (printing button stops working)

So I hoped for script commands - or settings..

Edit:
after fooling around, I somehow made the preview come back (I think by taking a picture) - and now the camera remembers, and work great.
