two great quotes:

Quote
Canon offers a download so that you can shoot in RAW plus much more with their P&S
Quote
just to clarify, it's not from or supported by Canon. It's a hack from Wikia Technology.

this shows CHDK looks so professional, it must come from canon. it also shows that it isnt just a "russian hack" anymore but coming from a big corporation called wikia technology  :lol

sweet.

lol

Nice find

Some of their explanations are a bit  ::) but at least they liked it.

Not about CHDK, but about Digic 4 - http://techon.nikkeibp.co.jp/english/NEWS_EN/20090217/165748/

p.s.  AD9920A - 12 bit ADC.

Not about CHDK, but about Digic 4

I could try this at home.

I need to borrow a scanning electron microscope and an X-ray machine  :)

very advanced pano-"bot" in conjunction with chdk: http://www.roboternetz.de/phpBB2/zeigebeitrag.php?t=37010 (some results can be found in this thread and for example here: http://www.panorama-community.net/wbb/index.php?page=Thread&postID=25152&highlight=#post25152 ) - cool project

http://bugguide.net/node/view/250284 <- CHDK used for focusstacking in order to take photographs of bugs.

CHDK now on Twitter! I am gathering news regarding chdk there, also regarding other hacks (dslr) and photography stuff in general. follow the CHDKnews tweets here. i might also consider handing out the login details if anyone is interested in helping gathering that stuff. i try to update the "tweets" every once in a while. it's for those who dont wanna check the forum, the bugtracker, the chat, the wiki and the changelog ;)

I'm not sure if anyone has seen or posted this (couldn't find it in a search), but this has made the news in one of the major papers in Australia.  Shots of the Earth from near space assisted by CHDK.  I enjoyed the Macgyver reference.

I just posted an article on the advantage of CHDK and shooting RAW over JPEG on my site http://49-reasons.com/index.htm (front page and leads to full article at http://49-reasons.com/articles/Canon%20Hackers%20Development%20Kit.htm

I also cribbed the section of the Guide for making a remote shutter but I credited it.

Thanks to those who contribute to the forum as I did find it helpful, and the Guide is excellent.
