Sorry for the late post of this! I got a message a few days ago from a user (Eugenia), who's an experienced filmmaker.

She tested CHDK on video and didn't end up liking the final results, with some fierce comments on the CHDK devs.  ;)

Following thepanoguy's post on the previous page, the PARIS project (Paper Aircraft Released Into Space) has finally been launched. A helium balloon reached 90,000 feet, then released a 3 foot wingspan paper aircraft with two cameras and tracking equipment. The Canon A560 with CHDK intervalometer achieved some stunning shots.

Ooooh, reyalp was faster. Anyway, here is the info on the printed article :)

I even prepared a scanned version that I wanted to attach, this seems unnecessary though after seeing the same contents on reyalp's link.

Not directly CHDK related, but Canon hacks don't appear to be limited to P&S and DSLR  OS ...

A group member tells me that the first movie available for this device was made using TX1's and SDM :-

Although SDM does not provide precision-synchronisation for movies, it was possible to monitor the degree of synch by the amount of overlap with a 'ghost' image on the monitor (caused by a 'leaky' video cable).
The cameras were restarted until the overlap was minimised.
The cameras then didn't drift too much from the beginning of
the take to the end.
