Hello & welcome, Mark !

I can to update de chdk to my S90, but only when playback button and de lens moving back.
CHDK is not a firmware update, just a software addition.
You can either start with the autostart feature or by loading CHDK manually with the "Firmware Update" menu item; start the camera in playback mode (with the [>] button), press/half-press the shutter button once to switch to record mode.

To enter/leave the CHDK <Alt> mode press the PRINT/SHORTCUT button
To enter the CHDK main menu, first enter <Alt> mode, then press MENU
To use CHDK overrides, set them up in the CHDK menu, then leave <Alt> mode
To use a script, load you script (in <Alt> mode) and start/stop the script with the shutter button

I suggest to read

Thanks for your answer.
The steps are:
1- To enter in the CHDK menu, it's necessary to press play back button when de lens is in the stand by position. I can't to access if the lens is in the normal position.
2- I enter in the CHDK menu ok, but I can't work becouse when I exit to stand by position, and I exit to the CHDK menu too. Therefore I can't take photos in the CHDK menu!!  :o

Enybody has worked ok with s90 and CHDK menu?

My firmware is 1.00C

Thanks for your answer!

No; CHDK stays active until the camera is powered off.
I guess you're using the manual loading method with "Firmware Update":
...press/half-press the shutter button once to switch to record mode.

No; once loaded, CHDK stays active until you power off the camera.
The CHDK menu is only used to set up overrides & settings - when you're ready, exit the CHDK menu with the MENU button, then exit <Alt> mode with PRINT.

"<ALT> mode will disable your normal camera buttons and will give them an alternative meaning."
"This mode is normally off! You only need it for the main configuration menu, starting a script and other shortcuts."

Therefore I can't take photos in the CHDK menu!!
In <Alt> mode you can either open the CHDK menues or you can run scripts - you can't shoot in <Alt> mode.
Close the menu / exit <Alt> mode to capture images/videos, the settings/overrides you've adjusted in the CHDK menu will still be active !

Again - i suggest to read more in the CHDK wikia  ;)
