Hi, I would like to ask about chdk firmware and remote control.

I'm looking for a camera that I could control using my computer, I need at least 10x zoom.
The new cameras from canon do not support remote control using psremote program.

Does your firmware add this removed feature back?

I'm intereted in SX20 IS - no firmware yet :(
SX10 IS, SX1 IS - has chdk firmware but does it have remote shooting enabled?

Anyway if somebody know any other cameras that would have 10x zoom and allow remote shooting like older canon cameras like 10G to my computer using psremote please share the information :)

Computer control by CHDK is not in the main CHDK builds yet. There is experimental support, details in this thread http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,4338.0.html

CHDK does not enable canons remote shooting API on any camera.
