I think I posted altready that I should check everything ten times, thanks.
But that's the newbe questions. :)
So please don't be  >:(

Now I have to find some functions again, I redid the things cause I've found some errors in my previous attempt.
Maybe I should have done some hello world in c before.

as a fellow SD200 user, i just wanted to cheer you on and give my thanks for your efforts.

i'm eagerly awaiting the release of the chdk SD200 firmware.  keep up the good work.   :)

Well, I try, again and again, but I now have real problems finding the functions,
even with checking the xrefs of found functions compared to the functions in ixus55dump.
I feel like ixus30 is the one camera that has the smallest amount of automatically found functions.  :(

Anyone again some tips?! Or maybe even help ::)

Seems that there are at least a few people interested in CHDK_ixus30_port ;)

I attached my actual finsig-log so stubs_entry.S.
I only found NHSTUB(AllocateMemory, sub_FF81F56C) till now.
Currently I'm searching close(), but even with ixus55 and ixus70(sd1000) dumps I don't earn anything, really running out of ideas. Seems that I'm the slowest porter ever.
Edit: I have the function Close in IDA, but the adresses registered in the stubs of the other cameras are of a function calling the close sub. But no function that uses IDA_Close looks like CHDK/STUBS_Close.

There's a working port for the SD400 now.  See this thread - ixus50/sd400 ver 101a & 101b CHDK Port - Beta version
Maybe it's similar enough to get some ideas from that.

Hi jetzt - just to add a bit more encouragement - I also use the Ixus 30 as my second camera, and would love to be able to use CHDK on it, too. Good luck!!

As a newbie to CHDK who owns a Ixus 30 and was really tempted to buy a 860 IS when stumbling across CHDK I want to say: Please, keep up the good work, and if I manage to understand what steps are necessary for porting I'll try to help! *goes to read the wiki*

I think I stopped getting further after my last post, I had no results since then, sorry.

Help needed...

It seems to me that every IXUS30-user doesn't know programming ( like me, I almost can't ).

But let's try like Einstein did it:
First thought: e = m a2
second thought: e= m b2
third thought: e= m c2 ahh... that sounds good

Hi Jetzt!
I'm a new member from Sweden.Just want to encourage you a bit.The Ixus 30 was the first digicam I bought and remember,it's still the best among the small Ixus's for low light shooting!For example the Ixus 50 is very crappy for low light(small sensor,far too much pixels).I now have about 10 digicams and I'm running CHDK in 2 of them,but i still use the Ixus 30 from time to time.

I don't know anything about this type of work so I can't provide any help I'm afraid,but I'm rather convinced there are lot's of users out there who would be greatful for a CHDK for the 30,just like I would be!

Someone took a dump of the Ixus 40 some time ago but no CHDK.Guess that guy got stuck just like you.
