The file size is correct.
The size on disk depends on how big your hard disk is.

The SDM code is correct, the file size is correct.

If you have a 'fresh' card format it with SDM (not using the Quick option), make bootable and copy only DISKBOOT.BIN to it.

Also, remove the batteries for a few seconds.

EDIT

Download and unzip this file http://www.pc-tools.net/files/win32/freeware/md5sums-1.2.zip

Drag DISKBOOT.BIN onto it.

What is the (long) number produced ?

DISKBOOT.BIN is corrupted, download and unzip it again and check for that number.

What number do you get if you drag the ZIP file onto md5sums.exe ?

Both.

This does not make sense.
The MD5 number for the 1.83 DISKBOOT.BIN is correct, the file is not corrupted.

However, the file size you report is for SDM 1.84.

You are somehow confusing the two.

Let us make absolutely sure we are using the same file that the US tester confirmed was working.

Download this again :-

What is the MD5 number for the ZIP, the extracted DISKBOOT.BIN and what is the file size of DISKBOOT.BIN ?
