A couple of things bother me.

You seem surprised at what the 'Lite' script does yet this is the same script that you recently said was working fine.

Secondly, you mention copying DISKBOOT.BIN to the CHDK folder.

Do you really mean that ?

You should copy it to the same location (the card 'root' ) as the CHDK DISKBOOT.BIN, overwriting it.

@Gregg
Does your camera start in Play mode ?
No it does not. it starts in the record mode.

Is Col sure his camera is 1.01B? Maybe it's a different version

Yes Gregg
I used CHDK ACID to establish that. I could not find it on the camera in firmware number.
I even asked Canon Australia & they couldn't help, except to look in the exif file. It wasn't there.

Yes David
I dragged the the DISKBOOT.BIN into the SD card with the CHDK & into the old DISKBOOT.BIN & it was overwritten.

The next link is on page 4 reply 58. It only contains DISKBOOT.BIN.
I cannot find the PARAMS you sent, could you tell me where they are or re-sent them Please.
Cheers

Here you are :-

The PARAMS folder should be placed in the CHDK folder.

Also, try deleting CHDK.CFG.

The camera really should start in Record mode.

CHDK.CFG was deleted.
There is also a CCHDK.CFG ?
In the CHDK folder there is a PARAMS Folder.
Do you want me to drag the new PARAMS into it ?

I see what happens there, I just dragged the PARAMS folder into CHDK folder, all OK.

Yes that is good. I now have the camera taking shots in "Fast React".
The zoom is inoperable ?

You are running a script, so you cannot just operate the camera controls as normal, they are disabled.

CCHDK.CFG is only used by CHDK, not SDM, so there was no need to delete that.
