Hi Microfunguy
I was going to suggest a fresh format & download ?

Anyway in the main menu the first row is "extra photo operations".
This has some Bracketing/Overrides menus, but I can't see any for 'set focus mode to 'Manual' ?
At the bottom of the main menu is 'miscellaneous stuff', but nothing about Bracketing/Overrides menus ?
Cheers
Col

I think you have installed CHDK, not SDM.

That is what I was worried about. Even though I don't think I did ?
Microfunguy said not to use the common files on SDM ?
Do I install all SDM ?
OR CHDK complete & overwrite with SDM BOOTDISK ?
Cheers

No wonder you do not see the 'USB' message.

You have not installed SDM.

That is strange because you previously reported seeing the large '1.83' on boot.

As I have said before, copy the SDM  DISKBOOT.BIN to the card.

Use CardTricks to make it bootable or download Common_files.zip from SDM website.

Insert card into reader and double-click sdminst.exe.
It will tell you the card is not bootable.

Make it bootable.
