There is something bad happening.
I am again getting the large numbers 1.83 flash on the screen & the camera shuts down !

Format your card with sdminst.exe, make bootable, copy DISKBOOT.BIN to the card.

Have you previously been able to boot SDM (1.83 displayed and camera does not shut down) ?

I haven't been able to boot SDM yet.
I have formatted card with sdminst.exe.
The option to make bootable is not there ?
It is there when sdminst.exe is opened but disappears straight away ?
DISKBOOT.BIN is on the card.

I just do not know what you are doing.
When this happened previously I suggested that the file may be corrupted and you should download it again.

You seemed to suggest that worked.

Now, I have no idea whether it did or not.

I had an older card then 1GB.
Yesterday I opened a fresh card 2GB.
Still having the same trouble ????
I have opened the latch on the camera about 500 times tonight, I hope it doesn't break.
