Scripts disable CHDK

I just tried out an intervalometer script for my Canon SD600 camera. I put the file in the scripts folder and put the SD card in the camera, and CHDK was nowhere to be found. Am I doing something wrong?

You need to be more specific.  What do you mean "CHDK was nowhere to be found"

Do you mean that you previously had CHDK working, and after you installed the script, it no longer loads ? If so, maybe you forgot to lock the card ?
