Getting allbest 31 buikld to work on a650is- USA version?

Getting allbest 31 buikld to work on a650is- USA version?

Hello everyone.  :)

I have an A650IS bought in the USA. I have downloaded the allbest build 31, and put both files into the root directory, have even tried to format the card with FAT16(regular FAT).. I still cannot get the "update firmware" option in the menu to load CHDK..

Any ideas? I have seen where someone created a ps.fi2 file.. will this work?

A650is  "allbest-16 build" whitebalance reset after leaving chdk menu

OK i got it working..now if only I could get the dng4ps-2 program to download in english... the russian one does not seem to work.. it creates an empty directory

well at least that version is english, why always use beta versions?

I have the beta working now. The older version mentioned does not support the A650IS.

On to the experimenting.... :D

What I did was to format the SD card(using windows and a card reader) using FAT16, then follow the instructions on "how to make the SD card bootable". Then i copied the "bootdisk.bin" file to the SD card, locked the card with the littrle switch, and put it in the camera. :D

Works like a charm!
