Please be aware that DSLR hacks discussed here are experimental projects of various authors, and not part of CHDK proper.

The things posted and discussed here are generally experimental and use of them may have significant risks. In general, there is much less experience with these hacks than with CHDK proper, so the risks may be less well understood.

Unless you are capable of evaluating the risks for your self, you must assume that use of any binary or technique posted here may have a significant risk of destroying your camera. It is up to you to decide whether this risk is acceptable, and as always, you alone are responsible for the consequences.

Developers + experienced users:
Please feel free to add FAQ information to this thread.

Users:
Please ask questions in the cameras development thread, not here.

Magic lantern is a hack for 5D Mark II which has it's own wiki and discussion area. See http://magiclantern.wikia.com/wiki/Magic_Lantern_Firmware_Wiki

There is a new ML unified branch supporting the already posted 550D, 60D and now also the 600D

http://magiclantern.wikia.com/wiki/600D
http://magiclantern.wikia.com/wiki/Unified

And for the 400D there is 400plus (official discussion in this forum)

http://code.google.com/p/400plus/
