Hi!

I've been everywhere to find the 1.00c fireware. Now I have given up.
Does anybody know if i can use the one based on 1.00c?

Just to be clear I have 1.00b.

Thank you
Joel

I just loaded 1.00c on my new sd780 & I think I got a brief look at the chdk spash screen, but all the instructions say to use the 'shortcut' button to get into the ALT/CHDK menu.

Can you/anyone tell me how to activate the CHDK menu on the SD780?

Thanx

Try the DISP button...
(Note: ALT is DISP key & DISP key is long held DISP)

You should check the ixus100 development thread http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,3995.msg37547.html#msg37547 and wiki page http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/SD780IS to find out if anyone has already tried it. My guess is that someone has and it doesn't work.

In past experience, using CHDK for a different canon firmware version either works, or crashes the camera and requires you to take the battery out. The second is more common. While I'm not aware of any cameras being damaged by this, we absolutely do not guarantee it won't. See http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ#Q._Can_CHDK_damage_your_camera.C2.A0.3F
Don't forget what the H stands for.
