Hello all.
I used chdk extensively on a Powershot S3 and was overjoyed with it, so much so that when i wanted to upgrade, i went for an SX10 which is familiar but better in many ways. One difference that has taken some getting used to is the changed on/off system.
Whereas the S3 used a rotary system (left: playback mode, right: shooting mode), the SX10 has both an ON/OFF button and a dedicated playback button. This works pretty well, but i've found that when running CHDK on the card (firmware 1.02b) the ON/OFF button fails to put the camera directly into shooting mode, and will only do so if you subsequently press the shutter release button. In effect it makes the ON/OFF button behave exactly the same as the direct-playback button, which is a shame because it definitely adds to the time it takes to take a shot after powering up.
I can see no obvious setting in the chdk menu that might affect this. Can anybody shed any light onto why this might be happening?
