I hope this isn't another stupid question...but it's about CHDK manual focus override, so it wouldn't be in the camera (Canon SD780) manual...

Anyways, after I put in a manual focus value, and go out of alt mode.  When I half press the shutter to get the camera to focus to the override distance, the camera just shuts down.  The lens doesn't even retract.  Help would be awesome.  Thanks in advance.
