What i am saying, is that in main.c only create the folders and comment-out most of the endless while() loop apart from the sleep.
Also comment-out conf_restore() because certain settings will require file opening functions and certain string functions.

If even that does not work, the address for making directories must be wrong.

The fact that the LED's keep blinking means that the CHDK spytask is still running.  The camera is not "crashed" at all - but the Canon firmware thinks there is a locked SD card and so it has stopped.  Which gets us back to why the AF light did not activate when I put that code right next to where the SD card lockout bit is disabled.

That sounds consistent ! Hope that you can get this little bug and be an exterminator ;)

AAaahhh  ... CHDK uses a logo file ?

SDM no longer has a logo but when it did it was in \core\kbd.c.

I have a blinking camera too!

both leds blink!

I have a text chdk logo and later "no images " text screen. then both leds start to blink......

Wait a minute - does the camera work properly at that point too ?   No "Card Locked" message ?

The delay before they start to blink is normal until the other tasks are re-enabled by me.

No, the camera can't use any button.

The card locked message appears before the chdk text logo and then dissapears.
