Thanks.  I actually found them the old fashioned way - looked for code identical to the routines that I know work on my SD940.

Unfortunately,  its kind of hard to experiment when you don't actually own the camera.  ???  Which is why I think I'll stick to helping people port released builds rather than half finished "Alpha" builds in future.

Put in the stubs for control of the neutral density filter.  This can be controller manually from the CHDK menu - it would be good to hear back from users of each version it is working.

   CHDK A495 firmware 1.00d Beta 4 : 1.00D
   CHDK A495 firmware 1.00e Beta 4 : 1.00E
   CHDK A495 firmware 1.00f Beta 4 : 1.00F

And with that,  I think I'm done.   Enjoy !

Hello,

I am a newbie to thw whole CHKD stuff - I own an A495 model, which reports a 1.00F FW version. Up to now I only managed to run a a495-100f-1.1.0-full_ALPHA_rev_677 version from CHKD-DE. I would very much like to try the Beta4 version, but I cannot install it - seems to me that the PS.FI2 file is missing - Could you please tell me how to install?

P.S.: I managed to install the Beta4 - my card was already bootable form the ALPHA version, so I copied the Beta4 to the rood of the card and locked it and CHKD started - with logo on my device. So I you need something specific tested - write it in the forum, I will play now with it and see how it goes. Does it make sence to try the D and the  E versions if my camera has originally the F FW?

For copyright reasons,  PS.FI2 files are not included in my beta releases.  If or when this is added to autobuild server,  they will be added.  You need to use the Locked SD card method for now.

No - as only the version that matches your camera firmware will work on your camera.

Like I said I am a newbie at this stuff - I will be glad to test it, but I haven't read the user manual for CHKD yet so you have to be more specific - where can I find the function, how can I activate and how can I deciede if it working or not.

Anyway thanks for the great work that you are doing!

P.S: OK, I did some search - the ND filter setting are in the Extra Photo Ops - 3 possible settings, In, Out and Off - I have set the Disable Overrides to Off (Enable :) and made 2 Photos with ND In and ND Out - personally I see no difference. Is this information enough?
