Hello again...

I have done some testing of CHDK running on the a495 now...

First off.. i tried a 16gb card and used SDM to make two partions on the card... and then put bootfiles in partion one and all chdk files on partion two... didn't work when i clicked on/off but if i used the play button it all seems to work... also think on/off button might work now too...

But i have found another problem... I have made a usb remote for it with 3 1,5V AA batteries. Remote and camera with CHDK works and takes the pictures as it should... but today i found a problem with the battery in the camera...
CHDK drains the battery very quickly... i take shots and i can see the battery % going down like 3-4% per photo i take...

is that normal? and can it be fixed?

Is anybody else seeing something like this ?  From the reviews for the A495,  it sounds like the camera is a bit of a battery eater normally.

That's why Canon only use an unprecise 3-step battery OSD ;)
It's the typical behaviour - the batt % is calculated from the battery voltage; depended on the load (e.g. in record mode with active sensor & LCD) the voltage goes up & down, especially in the high third of the battery capacity

--> switch to playback mode and you'll see what i mean...  :D
