Until now, the card had only one partition. Using CHDK to make a two partition card didn't worked. I've verified with Windows Disk Management.

Using sdminste.exe, I did the following:
Create partition, No (two partitions), formated the new partition with FAT, no quick format. Made card bootable. Then copied PS.FI2. Back in sdminste.exe, i've swapped the partitions, formatted (FAT32, no quick format). After format was complete, I copied all files from CHDK to the FAT32 partition. Back to sdminste.exe, swapped back the partitions.
So, now the card have this configuration:
Partition 1: 2mb, PS.FI2 in it.
Partition 2: 15145mb, All files from CHDK package, including CHDK folder.

Same problem: Camera starts CHDK, no logo, no access to the card.

I've attached a print screen of sdminste, if it's useful.

@ricardomenzer

Maybe try adding DISKBOOT.BIN on the small partition, lock the card and try again ?

Tested the card speed (FAT32 partition):
Write: 5.29mb/s
Read: 2.33 mb/s
It's class 4.

Tryed with DISKBOOT.bin in the small partition. CDHK loads automatically, but the same error. I took a photo with camera in "normal" mode (without CHDK). It stores the picture in the small partition. Loading CHDK, it can't see the photo, saying "Memory card error" and "Memory card locked".

CHDK didn't found any images with partition1 = bigger one.

But i have found another problem... I have made a usb remote for it with 3 1,5V AA batteries. Remote and camera with CHDK works and takes the pictures as it should... but today i found a problem with the battery in the camera...
CHDK drains the battery very quickly... i take shots and i can see the battery % going down like 3-4% per photo i take...

Is anybody else seeing something like this ?  From the reviews for the A495,  it sounds like the camera is a bit of a battery eater normally.

sry for posting so long time ago !

I got no problems with the chdk firmware. I am using the rechargebel 2000mAh batteries of ENELOOP and could take easily over 200 Pictures without replaceing the batteries.
So i have no problem with draining power by the chdk.

Until yet my cam works fine and with the work of waterwingz i got a cheap and great cam with many functions.
Thanks for that !

Hello. I'm using the latest beta (a495-100f-0.9.9-1218-full_BETA) with my A495 and most of the things I tried seem to work fine. I have two problems however.

- The first one is when I set the video quality to say 90 instead of the default 84, I get E09 errors occasionnally (but not always) even if I select constant bitrate. The SD card is a Lexar 4GB (Class 4).

- The second is not a bug but I can't find the option "Quality override". Is it disabled?

Sounds like you are on the edge of how fast your camera can write to the SD card.  If so,  you either need to use a faster SD card or to run at lower "quality".

FWIW, I wouldn't assume it was the card that was necessarily the bottleneck.

If it is the card, keep in mind that a freshly formatted empty card will probably do a bit better than one that's had a lot of use without formatting.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Thanks for your suggestions. Does someone have a clue for the missing "Quality override" option?

This is not available on newer cameras with H.264 MOV (QuickTime) video format, it's an option for (most) older cameras with MJPEG video format...
