Hi THUNDer, welcome to the forum !Your preparations sound OK, here's some things to try: - press and hold down the on/off button until you see CHDK logo (normally 1-2 sec)- start the camera in Playback mode. If you don't see the logo, but the camera appears to start as if there's no CHDK, try manual boot. Press "Menu" to get into the Canon menu, select the leftmost tab and scroll all the way down, there should be a "Firm Update" entry. If there is it means your PS.FI2 is recognised and you can use it to start CHDK manually by selecting the "Firm Update option and following the prompts.Note that I do not own this cam - these are just general instructions for starting CHDK.hope that helps, wim
what can i do? :/
If neither auto- nor manual booting works, check if the files were properly unpacked to your card:in the cards' root, you should have a PS.FI2 and a DISKBOOT.BIN (plus some text files) - do you see those ?wim
Hi again...I now get the "Firm Update..." (SD not bootable or locked, i started the camera in play mode and then menu and at the bottom it was) and when i click that it says: "update firmware version? 1.0.0.0 -> 1.1.0.0" I click OK to that and then then after a sec or two the screen is black... and nothing happens...Am i doing something wrong?
This sounds very much like a wrong firmware version, you should probably double check.
I have got the firmware version with the picture method so it should work right?
Yes... are you sure both your cams are 100d, and you're not mixing them up ?
Any ideas?
Not anymore, no ... I read this thread and the one on the German site, but failed to find anyone reporting success so far with 100 D version. Maybe it just does not workyet ..sorry,
