I have 35000 bad pixels with iso 125-400, about 69000 over iso 800 (same shutter speed of iso 125). The number is even higher with exposures longer than 1 second...

strange what cause this lots badpixels.when i look on your RAW image i cant see that much.

when chdk default menu Raw Parameter -> Darkframe subtraction auto is use, only then i get lots bad pixels.they depend too heavy on temperature.

when CCD is cold i have get 27000 when its hot more than 120000.
when i set it off i get always and its constant on ISO 125 ISO 800 8326 bad Pixels.
and i have shoot lots of RAW images, and they do not show black pixels when i zoom and show  DNG with picasa.

Sorry, the image that I posted was shot with badpixels.bin configured to remove 69000 bad pixels, so you have seen only the pixels that are hot only with longer exposures.
As soon as possible I'll send an example of an image shoot with an empty badpixels.bin

As for dark frame subtraction it is set off. Maybe I am not been  particularly lucky with the camera that I bought...

such a image is intresting to see, i also like to see a RAW file of the badpixel shoots, so can see what cause this diffrence in IX1000 when darkframe subtract is off, on or auto.

but it seem not easy possible, maybe reyalp can add code, that store the RAW of badpixel shoot too.the jpg file is store.

I still think there is something wrong on badpixel creation, maybe it work on other camera but with this CMOS sensors seem not work correct.

but i still think this CMOS sensors do not have 60000 or more badpixels.

I can't seem to find a guide of how to install the CHDK firmware on SD4000.  I have previously done it on SD600 and SD1000, however on the SD4000 I can't find the "update firmware" option in the menu.

here there is an example of a shot iso 125 fast shutter speed using an empty badpixels file

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20628274/CRW_0426.DNG

Using both badpixels script and my utilities I obtain a bit less than 40000 hot pixels

You have to start in play mode (using the play button, not the on/off button)

I have a little problem. I would like to use autostart mode. I paritioned my sd and I successful started up chdk. the problem is that the partitions are not swapped, so I see the first one (fat16).  If i try to manually swap the partitions It say to me that I have only one partition (it is false, on linux I can use both of them).
I post it here, but probably is not the correct place, but I don't know if it can be a problem in porting or in my procedure (up to now I use a 4gb fat 16 partition and I am quite happy with that, so it is not a great problem).

Yes that is what I did, but its not there.  Don't really know what I am doing wrong.

What SD-Card do you use (capatity)? It only works if you have FAT16 filesystem on SD-Card and (first) Partition is 4GB max.

I didn't test multi partition support yet.

Probably firmware address for multi partition stuff is still wrong if chdk does not detect second partition.

Ah so the beta doesn't support 8Gb cards yet?  I see, when will it support it?  I assumed it would support it because I have a 8GB card for the SD1000 with CHDK working without a problem.  I guess I will try the multiple partition method to see if it works.
