Udumper no longer works on 'new' Canon P&S models ...
Use the Canon Basic dumper which works on new as well as old cams.
Read the Canon Basic main page to learn how to prepare a card.

You can use Pelican's EOScard (Windows) or zeno's MacBoot (Mac) to write the required 'signature' string SCRIPT

2Whim, thanks the information was very helpful and I've done the dump.

2Err99: Dump contains GM1.00C version of firmware for A3000 IS cam.

I've just updated the http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/A3000IS, there was a string like a
"UNSUPPORTED DEVICE". When I read this first time without reading this and other threads
I thought like WTF-ing cam do I bought? :))) And now I see that a lot of progress here.

I can confirm that your uploaded dump can be accessed and looks OK.
fe50 keeps a repository of dumps here,

I started disassembling 1.00c fw, and a lot of code has moved in compare to 1.00b firmware.
I have to adapt all the boot/capture/movie code and allmost all entries of stubs_entry2. This will take a moment... ;)

Here we go: First "full" Beta Version #1 for 1.00C cameras. Please test if its booting, and if it does, check if movie and photo overrides, optical zooming&af-rescan during video, is working.
