@reyalp, this one worked.  The kap_uav.lua script runs perfectly now.  Thank you again for troubleshooting this and proving a fix. Cheers!

Thanks for reporting the issue and confirming the fix.

The change is checked in and will be in CHDK  1.4 and 1.5 autobuilds 5145 and later for all A3000 firmware versions.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Test build with the following changes:
- adjustments in capt_seq.c to match ixus120_sd940
- new loader and compat check enabled

Expected result: it boots and passes hooktest.lua
I hope I have not screwed up something.

@srsa_4c, here is the log file from running the hooktest.lua using your build.  It still seems to fail.  Same behavior with the kap_uav.lua script as well?

Indeed, it fails the same way.
Re-install the official release on your card, and run the attached script. It's the same hooktest script, but I replaced all keypress/release commands with keypress events. I'm curious whether you get different results.

This is getting really odd. The failures remain, only 3 shots are made instead of 5.
To rule out a camera setting causing trouble, try resetting the camera to defaults using the Canon menu.
Afterwards, please enable continuous shooting mode on the Canon interface (I don't know how to do it on your cam), and re-run the script. That will enable the script to do a test in continuous mode too. In case you have flash enabled, disable it. Also disable any sort of continuous AF or servo AF or face AF in the Canon menu.

Anyone else have an idea what could cause this?

@srsa_4c
I reset the camera to the Canon default settings and set the following settings:

AF Frame - Center
AF Frame size - Normal
Digital zoom - Off
AF Point zoom - Off
AF-Assist Beam - Off
Continuous AF - Off
IS Mode - Off
Flash Setting:
Red-Eye Corr. - Off
Red-Eye Lamp - On

Unfortunately, the failure still persists.

Luckly, I have another A3000IS camera.  However, it came with the 100c firmware version.  With this one, your script passes successfully (see both attached log files).

Unfortunately, I still get the extra LED pulse on Burst mode and a very long (~1.3s) single one in Fast mode; when I run @waterwingz  KAP script on the second camera as well (log files attached).

Have you been using the same SD card in the 100d camera for all tests so far? Can you try a different card?
