Where can I get the source code and recompile with the appropriate changes?
The CHDK source code is here (SVN server):  http://tools.assembla.com/chdk/browser/trunk
You'll find more informations on the "For Developers" section here: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/For_Developers

On a Windows system you may use the CHDK-Shell...

I have amended the raw.c as suggested by richlock and recompiled using the CHDK-Shell version 3.

No change! still getting 0 byte CRW on the SD.

I have assumed i can simply make changes to the raw.c as suggested and recompile. Was there anything else I needed to do?

BTW any chance of some one pm me with the SX110 IS keys? As the dumping skills are absent at this time!!! :(

thanks all for help to date, this is very exciting what I can now do with my camera! BUt no RAW is preventing me getting into some HDR fun!

Further help appreciated

The compilation result is this or similar: CHDK\trunk\trunk1054\bin\sx110is-100b-0.9.9-1054-full.zip.
You have to copy the contents to camera root directory, so unzip to camera flash disk.
Be sure that when start the camera the CHDK starts automatically as DISKBOOT.BIN is the file which runs at booting time. So do not use Menu key->Firm update.... method, because that method use PS.FI2 file and with the new compilation we do not get that file!

yEAh!! That works. is there any way to have the PS.FI2 file as well for  casual loading?

Other than that thank you very much for assisting, I now have RAW and DNG working!

Thanks for your trouble shooting, sorry it took me so long to get to this. It appears CAM_UNCACHED_BIT was not defined correctly for this camera. I've fixed that, please check if the new autobuild (1064) corrects this problem without your change.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Hey. I've got the same problem. Using a 200HS :(

You need to be more specific - Canon has not made a 200HS model camera.
Firmware version would also help.
