So when you say "sometimes wrong" is it random that it looks like this, or after some specific action?

In the next build, I made stitch use the whole buffer, so it appears in the upper left, and is surrounded by whatever stale data is in the rest of the buffer. Your screenshot in this post looks correct https://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=5641.msg144875#msg144875

In both lvdumps, the stitch view appears to be the expected size and have correct data.

It's normal for the viewport to show random stuff during or immediately after shooting, in any mode. The viewport memory is used for other stuff. What I'm trying to understand is if you see the problem while the camera is just sitting, showing live view.

Again, no idea what you are trying to say or what the screenshot is supposed to show.  I see a corrupted live view on one side, but without an explanation, it doesn't mean anything to me. If you want to communicate, please use words.
