I want to do a time lapse with my A570 IS of the City Skyline lights coming on after sunset. I will be facing east with the setting sun at my back. What exposure settings would work best? The skyline is probably around 1/2 -3/4 mile from my filming position across a river.

There is no best exposure. Only compromise between motion blur, clipping and SNR.

I guess I will try Av at 2.6, ISO 400, MF at infinity, 1 frame every 5 seconds, IS off, muted, display off.
