continuous mode script

Hello,
I don't find answer to my questions on the forum, sorry if it is...
I want to know if it is possible to take pictures in continuous mode without holding the shutter button. It could be very useful for bicycle timelapses for example...
Is there any way to do timelapses with pictures every 1/2/3 or 4 seconds?
I don't know the technical problems for that, i just know that these features are missing...

thx for your help

You want an intervalometer script. Searching this forum and the wiki should find you several.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

I don't find answer to my questions on the forum, sorry if it is...

I suggest to use one of the following interval scripts:

* http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/LUA#Minimalistic_Intervalometer (minimalistic/simple version)
* http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/LUA#yet_another_accurate_intervalometer (accurate intervalometer)
* http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/User:Fe50#double_intervalometer (double intervalometer)

...i don't think they can shot pictures like in continuous mode, every 1 seconds or less...

This is camera dependent; the fastest possible rate (the speed value Canon writes in the data sheets) is only available in continuous mode, the camera don't focus between the shots.

In a script, do a press("shoot_half") outside the main loop once, then capture the image with press("shoot_full") without re-focusing...

Using the camera's continuous mode you may try this script: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/User:Fe50#fast_shooter

So I try your script which virtually hold the shutter button on my S90.
I write .lua extension but when i start it writes:
*** DEBUT ***
:2: '=' expected near 'author'
PRESS SHUTTER TO CLOSE

with .bas extension, it says in top left:  UBASIC:1 Unk Stmt

Is there a simply way to resolve that problem?
thank you
