REM on PRINT line

I am fairly new at using CHDK and have been writing some small scripts
for my SX200is. I have found the following...

I am using CHDK sx200is-100d-0.9.9-938
If I put a REM (comment) after the PRINT command it errors and halts the script.
I haven't found any mention of this on the CHDK Web site.

ie... print "Seq #";x;" ..."  rem print the sequence number

Are there any other issues with REM usage?

REM should probably be on a line by itself.

AFAIK, this is common in primitive BASIC dialects, but there is no standard so who knows. If you want a documented language, I suggest using lua instead :)

Ok thanks! I've never had a problem like that with a REM
Where's the best place to find out about LUA?

Thanks for the LUA link!
I have all the links to CHDK and have been reading through them.
I didn't know where the LUA stuff was.
