on the new sony alpha line the lower range have limited bracketing
only 2 choices 0,-0.3,+0.3 and 0,-0.7,+0.7 that is almost useless
for HDR photography.
i would like to hack the firmware and change the 0,-0.3,+0.3 to
0,-2,+2
this should not be that hard, sony released a new firmware for the
a700 improving the bracketing, it can be downloaded here
http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=DSLRA700&SelectOS=7my camera is the A230, the latest firmware can be downloaded here
http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=DSLRA230it extracts to a sigle DSCA230.APP file
i've tried to decrypt the firmware myself using ARMu and frmcrypt.exe
the last one is for pentax firmware, but with no luck.
i can open it with XV132 but that is just a HEX editor and i don't know
what to change.
if anyone could help me?
thanks
p.s. this guy made a small hack using XV132, that gives me some hope.
